Health and Safety Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026. Fazal & Son Inc. serves Kitchener, Ontario and surrounding communities within about 50 km. This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario.
Fazal & Son Inc. is committed to protecting the health and safety of our workers, our customers and the public on every job site.
Our commitments
- We follow the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its construction regulations.
- Workers wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, safety footwear, eye and hearing protection and gloves.
- Tools and equipment are inspected, used as intended and kept in good condition.
- Dust, noise, debris and tripping hazards are controlled, and work areas are separated from living areas wherever possible.
- Hazardous materials found during work (such as asbestos or mould) are handled according to the law. Work stops until the material is properly assessed and managed.
- Ladders, excavations and heights are managed according to Ontario requirements.
- Workers are covered under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) as required by law.
Everyone's responsibility
Every worker has the right to know about hazards, the right to participate in safety and the right to refuse unsafe work. Any worker or customer who sees an unsafe condition should tell the site supervisor immediately.
Customer safety
Please keep children and pets away from the work area, follow instructions about restricted areas and do not operate our tools or equipment.
Incidents
All incidents and near misses are reported, investigated and corrected. Serious incidents are reported to the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development and WSIB as required.
