Artificial Grass Calculator
Turf, base stone, infill and seam tape. Assumes a 15 ft wide roll. Free to use, with a short guide below.
What this calculator does
Get the turf, base stone, infill and seam tape for an artificial lawn. This calculator assumes a 15 ft wide roll.
How to use it
- Measure the length and width of the area.
- Enter both numbers in feet. The calculator works out the roll length and the seams.
- Use the result for the turf, base, infill and tape.
Why it matters
Turf is sold in fixed roll widths, so the way you lay it affects waste and the number of seams. A good base drains water and keeps the lawn flat. Seams in the wrong place or a thin base show up in the first season.
Tips from the job site
- Lay all the grass blades facing the same direction.
- Compact a 3 to 4 in base and slope it for drainage.
- Use the amount of infill the manufacturer recommends so the blades stand up.
These results are estimates. We measure on site before we quote, and we confirm local rules with your city.
