Quality Policy

Quality Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026. Fazal & Son Inc. serves Kitchener, Ontario and surrounding communities within about 50 km. This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario.

Fazal & Son Inc. is committed to delivering basement finishing, legal basement suites, renovation and landscaping work that is safe, code compliant and built to last. Our quality commitments are:

1. Work to code

All work is planned and carried out to meet the Ontario Building Code, the Ontario Fire Code and applicable municipal by-laws. Where a building permit is required (for example for a legal second unit or basement apartment, structural changes, new plumbing or egress windows), we help the owner prepare the application and we complete the work to the permitted drawings. Required inspections are booked with the local municipality and passed before work is closed up.

2. Licensed trades where required

Electrical work is performed by or under a licensed electrician and is subject to inspection by the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA). Plumbing, gas and HVAC work is done by qualified, licensed tradespeople where the law requires it.

3. Quality materials

We use materials suited to Ontario conditions, including moisture resistant products in basements and frost resistant base preparation for interlocking, concrete and sod work. Materials are approved with the customer in writing before installation.

4. Clear scope, price and schedule

Every project starts with a written estimate or contract that describes the scope of work, materials, price, payment schedule and expected timeline. Changes are agreed in writing before the work is done.

5. Inspection and sign off

Before we call a job complete we do a walk-through with the owner, list any deficiencies and correct them promptly. Final payment is due after the walk-through and any required municipal inspection.

6. Clean and respectful site

We protect the property, keep the site tidy daily, remove construction waste and respect your home, neighbours and working hours set by local by-laws.

7. Continuous improvement

We welcome feedback. If something does not meet your expectations, tell us and we will review it and work with you to make it right under our Warranty Policy.
